Highpoint Treehouses

In the kitchen, looking out the back door onto the balcony. Now that the electrical and plumbing are roughed-in, we are able to begin on the fun stuff to start making it look nice inside. The walls and ceiling will be covered in shiplap (4,720 linear feet and counting), but finished in different ways to give the warm, clean, farmhouse feel.
With a lot of help, we tore down countless pallets, burned them, scraped and trimmed 199 pieces, to create a wall with a lot of character.
Even though we started with 4 rectangular shipping containers, we have made some major changes to the shapes to optimize the space and views. The shiplap in this area highlight the bump-out where the headboard for the bed will be and allow you to lay on your pillow and look straight up at the stars.
Looking from the living room, through the stairwell, into the bathroom. I have not been looking forward to it, but I know the effort will be worth it to install the shiplap on the walls on the 30’ tall stairwell, working around each and every step…
The many textures are beginning to show, including the pallet wood on the window wall, shiplap on the walls (which will be painted white later), and the shiplap on the ceiling with the old barn wood finish. The dark bamboo floors will be installed last to make sure they look perfect when finished.
