PLACING THE STEEL!
With the help of friends and fellow engineers, we put our education to work in placing the steel in the hole for this big block of concrete.
PULLING AN ALL NIGHTER!
We worked into the night and into the next morning to try and finish for the concrete delivery the next morning. With all our efforts, we were not able to complete things and have it like we wanted for the delivery...
MESSAGE FROM ABOVE!
Since we missed the delivery of the concrete, I think someone above thought it would be a consolation prize to make use of it as an in-ground pool. I was about ready to accept that present, but we had to jump into action and pump it out to finish the rebar and dry it out before the next window for concrete in a week.
THAT'S MORE LIKE IT!
Now that looks better, we are now ready for the trucks to come and fill the hole up with concrete.
FINISHING TOUCHES!
These are the culmination of a lot of work and preparation to dig the hole, install and secure the rebar, install the anchor bolts for the steel columns, and level things up for the welding plates to be inserted for connection to the vertical containers. Now wait a week or so and we will be ready for the crane to start going UP IN THE TREES!!!
